CloseVU DEBUTS “LIVE” SMART ZOOM AT IBC 2007

Tel Aviv, Israel — June 26, 2007 — CloseVU, the company founded to mobilize sports and action content, introduces CloseVU Live with Smart Zoom Advanced Technology at the IBC, held in Amsterdam from September 7-11 at stand M398 in the Mobile Zone. CloseVU applies the most advanced video processing algorithms to deliver sharp, dramatic action video to mobile handsets.
CloseVU Producer
CloseVU Producer makes it easy to quickly adapt conventional HD and SD video to produce a rich mobile content that has the right look and feed for small-screen devices. Sports video is usually produced for the wide screen. But when shown on a mobile device, it’s hard to keep track of the action (or the player or ball) because the large-scale format doesn’t translate well to handsets. CloseVU Smart Zoom is a post-production tool that solves the problem to deliver a picture that’s properly scaled, zoomed, and focused on the critical action – the ball, the athlete, the play.
Introducing “Live” Smart Zoom
CloseVU “Live”, shown for the first time at IBC, is a breakthrough product that allows broadcasters to instantly transform their live broadcast coverage to create vibrant, mobile-friendly game coverage. The mobile content is properly re-framed and sized to show the best camera angles and close-ups for small screens viewing. While the game is in progress, producers apply “Live” Smart Zoom. They simply click and frame an object or part of the field to make it larger. CloseVU “Live” Smart Zoom targets that section and in just a few seconds delivers a mobile-friendly version with smooth, natural camera angles and close-ups that have optimal image quality for the smaller mobile screen. CloseVU Live integrates easily into the production workflow with SDI or Analog video connectors.
